• Member of the academic board for SPOR, the Norwegian State R&D Program for Improved Oil Recovery and Reservoir Technology, 1988--92,
• Academically responsible for the establishment of the MS program in petroleum engineering at Stavanger College and the petroleum technology division at RF-Rogaland Research [RF].
• Board member for the state research program RUTH (1992--95) on improved oil and gas recovery.
• Member of the board for the state reasearch program RESERVE (1996--), on reservoir technology.
