Master thesis, Petrophysics Mechanical Properties from Logs, Goliat Field Barents Sea Goliat field has a depth from 1100 m to 1850 m with unconsolidated sand. This thesis will cover: Methods for mechanical properties from logs, use compression and shear transit time both from logs and cores to estimate the dynamic elastic constant, stress and strain analysis, failure envelope and the critical drawdown without sand production. Software at UiS: Interactive Petrophysics, Schlumberger Database, 2 wells: Sinas database, Schlumberger and NPD Lab measurements: UiS lab and core description at NPD Adviser: Karl Audun Lehne
